Duplicate and Link a Zone

For Audience.playback.tv or Audience.playback.sign

Use this feature (or the duplicate feature) to quickly create a background or foreground zone. Can be used if you want a motion video background to play behind your crawl zone.

1.Duplicate and link the crawl zone.

2.Remove references to the magazines in the new zone. This is very important. See Remove a Magazine.

3.Create a magazine.

4.Create the motion background page in the new zone's magazine and put it in the playlist.

Tip: Simulate 'looping' the video by modifying the video page transition to fade.

For Audience web systems (Audience.web and Audience.playback.web)

This is reserved for very special circumstances, and must be used only when the zone's background is identical in both the original screen to which the zone belongs and the new screen which references the zone.

You can use this function if, for example, you have two background screens that both have an identical black box (for crawl pages perhaps), but in one screen the box is on the bottom left, and in the other screen the box is on the upper right. Provided that the two boxes are the same colour and the same size, then you can use this function to display the zone in a different location on the other screen.

1.In the tree, select the zone you want to duplicate.

2.Go to Edit > Duplicate and Link > Zone.

3.Give the new zone a name.

4.The reference to the original zone will automatically be removed. Select Yes.

5.Give the zone a user-friendly title, which will appear in the tree, and in Audience.web, Select OK to complete the process.

You can now add a reference to the original or the duplicated zone in any screen, provided the zone background does not change, and provided the zone remains the same size.

Remember: All of the content in the new zone is shared with the original zone, until you remove the references to the original magazines and create a new magazine in the duplicated zone.
